Four groups protested Sunday as the cabinet met in Jerusalem. One group was dairy farmers, who fear a blow to their industry as the government attempts to reduce food prices by allowing more imports. Another was Sderot Mayor David Buskila, who is hunger striking in an attempt to win more funding for socio-economically weak communities.
Also demonstrating were representatives from the Yesha (Judea and Samaria) Council, who called on the government to adopt the Levy Report, and students, who called for government funding for institutes of technology.
