The Israel Jewish public prefers Mitt Romney in the United States presidential race, according to the Israel Democracy Institute’s latest Peace Index survey. Among Jewish respondents 57% said Romney would be better for Israel, while just 22% said the same about current U.S. President Barack Obama.

Among Arab citizens of Israel the findings were reversed, with 45% saying Obama would be better for Israel while 15% said the same for Romney.
