Former police officer Erez Talker has been sentenced to six years in prison for crimes including taking a bribe from criminals. Talker served as the coordinator for police intelligence in Eilat.

He exploited his position to form ties with criminals in the area and work with them. Among other things, he sold them classified police information. He admitted to several crimes under a plea bargain, among them accepting a bride, breach of trust, receiving an item obtained illegally, and interfering with an investigation.
