When Jewish Home candidate Minister Daniel Hershkovitz dropped out of the race he proclaimed support for fellow candidate MK Zevulun Orlev. However, some of his supporters have expressed support for Naftali Bennet instead.
Zev Neria, son of religious-Zionist leader Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Neria, announced Sunday that he is among those who will support Bennet. He expressed disappointment that Hershkovitz had joined Orlev, saying, “I was pained and shocked by the news that the man I saw worthy to lead religious-Zionist, Rabbi Professor Daniel Hershkovitz, joined those who for four years restricted him and prevented him from moving the Jewish Home – New Mafdal party forward.”
