Spain’s Interior Ministry announced Sunday that the suspected leader of the Basque separatist group ETA has been arrested. The suspect, Izaskun Lesaka, was arrested alongside a second suspect early on Sunday morning.

The ETA is a terrorist group that has murdered a total of several hundred people in attacks. The group seeks an independent Basque state between Spain and France.
