The new Egyptian Ambassador to Israel, Atef Salem, presented his credentials to President Shimon Peres on Wednesday. Salem told Peres that Egypt is committed to keeping its agreements with Israel.
Some political figures in Egypt have been calling to change the 1979 peace treaty.
