Egyptian security officials on Monday said that they had arrested a man who threatened to murder President Mohammed Morsy. The officials were quoted in a report in the Al-Ahram government-controlled newspaper. A thorough investigation was ordered, the report said.

The report said that the suspect was found to be in possession of maps showing routes that Morsy used, and material to make bombs.
