Speaking at the opening of the winter session of the Knesset – which is set to be the last meeting of the current Knesset – Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu recounted the successes of his administration. “We brought stability and growth to the economy, we managed to dodge the worst economic crisis in the past 80 years. We succeeded in bringing security to the people of Israel. We stopped the deluge of illegal immigrants, that was a true threat to the future of a Jewish and democratic Israel.”
Netanyahu added that there had been no wars in his administration, and that there were far fewer terror attacks. “We showed confidence and strength,” and these had made an important difference, he said.
