It was reported, Thursday, that hundreds of responses have been received to a campaign to publicize about 60,000 unclaimed assets of people who died during the Holocaust. The Corporation for Locating and Returning Assets of Holocaust Victims started the campaign recently in Israel and abroad, and it will continue for a few weeks.
The campaign is targeting hareidi-religious Jews, immigrants from the former Soviet Union and North American Jews. It is being run in general and Jewish-community newspapers, as well as through direct contact, such as lectures and other gatherings. In North America, the matter was discussed during recent High Holy Day sermons.
