Iran: Police Clashes at Protest over Currency Crisis

Iran’s riot police clashed with protesters in Tehran Wednesday, the BBC reports. Many demonstrators were arrested.

Protesters stood outside the central bank and chanted anti-government slogans. The protest comes as Iran’s currency, the rial, continues to plummet, hitting record lows against the U.S. dollar.
