Livnat Calls for Funds for Yesha as Part of Periphery

Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat said, Thursday evening, that more funds must be budgeted for Judea and Samaria (Shomron) as part of social and cultural justice for Israel's peripheral areas. Opening an evening of Andalusian religious music to dedicate a venue on Mount Gerizim, south of the Samarian city of Shechem, she said, "There is room to fix a few things that need to be correct them, mainly in the periphery. You ask me, 'What is the periphery?' We know the north, the Negev, the Galilee, [and] the south but there's also Judea and Samaria which have also suffered for years from ongoing discrimination in all areas of culture and now we have made a significant correction."
