Chairwoman Orit Strook of the Human Rights Organization in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) sent a complaint against Commander Boaz Goldberg to the Police Investigative Unit, Thursday. Goldberg was photographed calling out "Go up and kill them," a number of times when calling to subordinates who went up on rooftops in Migron where where youth who were demonstrating against the demolition of the Binyamin-region community were waiting for them. The Human Rights Organization says one of the officers told one of the youths, "You're lucky you're being photographed."
In her letter of complaint, which called for an investigation of Goldberg, Strook noted that the demonstrators posed no danger to police except for an attempt to ignite a ladder, which police overcame quickly. In a separate letter to Police Commissioner Yochanan Danino on the same subject, she noted words he wrote when he took office to the effect that anything that harms the values of the police must be uprooted in an uncompromising, transparent way.
