The United States on Monday denied that it had offered Iran a deal not to attack it, in exchange for Iran's not attacking American bases in the event of an Israeli action against the country's nuclear program. Earlier, a report in Yediot Achronot said that the U.S. had offered Tehran the non-belligerence deal.

Speaking to reporters, White House spokesperson Jay Carney said that the report was wrong. “The report is false and we don't talk about hypotheticals,” he said.
