Dozens of employees of the Ma'ariv daily newspaper demonstrated in Tel Aviv on Thursday evening, demanding that the board of the Discount Investments company, which owns the newspaper, approve more funds for the newspaper.

The employees fear that if funds are not immediately made available to Ma’ariv, the newspaper may shut down as early as Sunday. The board of Discount Investments is slated to meet Friday morning.
