The government must hold a Knesset session to discuss Egypt’s violations of its peace treaty with Israel, MK Uri Ariel (National Union) said Wednesday. He charged the government with hiding the issues, and said, “The Prime Minister did not share all the details even with his cabinet.”
Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin said the government responded saying a Knesset session would not be held. The government is following the situation and believes there has been no treaty violation, he said. Government sources cited the sensitivity of the matter as well, he added.
