Gaza Exiles to PM: Get Involved in Migron

The Gush Katif Residents' Committee sent a letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Monday, asking him to prevent the removal of Jews from the Binyamin-region hilltop community of Migron, scheduled for Tuesday. Recalling Netanyahu's stated opposition to their forced removal by the government from Gaza in 2005, the letter said, "We expect you as a leader who opposed the Disengagement plan and makes sure to recall its error and injustice  - to avert the next injustice!"

The committee continued, "We expect from His Honor the Prime Minister, to show responsibility and determination to give full backing to the decision of the Committee of Ministers [on Settlement Activity] adopted on -17.7.12," to support the residents of Migron. Netanyahu said, Sunday, that the government would respect the decision of the Supreme Court on an appeal against the eviction and back the settlement enterprise in Migron as it did in Beit El, where the government announced approval of new housing after 30 families were ordered evicted by the High Court.
