A Jerusalem court has extended the remand of a local Israeli 19-year-old who is suspected of involvement in the beating of a local Arab young man. The court also extended the remand of a 17-year-old girl accused of encouraging Israeli boys to hit the Arab teen.

The beating took place last week in downtown Jerusalem. Those arrested have accused the Arab teen of provoking them. The Arab teen, who was knocked unconscious during the brawl, says he does not remember what happened.
