The greatest Moroccan Sage, former Chairman of the Rabbinical Courts, Member of the Great Rabbinical Court, and Rabbi of Dimona, Rabbi Avraham Elmaliach will be interred in the Jerusalem Har HaMenuchot cemetery Thursday.

His student, Rabbi David Tourjeman related to INN some of his illustrious history, “Rabbi Elmaliach had international acclaim and impact on the Diaspora as well as Israel. He would resolve complicated matters of Torah Law across the globe including Moroccan citron examination before the Feast of Tabernacles. He was widely acknowledged as a Torah authority, and was approbated by the late Rabbi Moshe Feinstein. He was a true Zionist, and his sons are senior IDF officers. From a young age he possessed vast Torah knowledge, and was also a humble Kabbalist in secret. May his memory be blessed.”
