Report: 23,000 Killed in Syrian Civil War

Syrian rights organizations have released statistics stating that since the start of the uprising against Syrian president Bashar Assad a year and a half ago, more than 23,000 people have been killed. The organizations say that this includes 16,000 people described as civilians and almost 6,000 people described as soldiers. In the last two weeks alone about 2,400 people were killed, the organizations stated.
