The death toll in Saturday's earthquakes in Iran has risen to over 250, with some 1,500 injured, reports Sunday morning said. Tens of thousands are living in tents, for fear that their homes' stability was compromised. They will remain in the tents until inspectors can certify that their homes are safe.
Turkey on Saturday night issued condolences to Iran over the dead and injured in Saturday's earthquakes, and offered assistance. Close to 200 people were killed in the quakes, with some 1,300 injured. Iran has not issued calls for assistance, but Turkey said it was ready to help if asked to do so.
