In a moving ceremony held in the community of Eli on Friday, hundreds of local residents welcomed thirteen families of olim who came to the communinty straight from the Ben Gurion Airport. The chairman of Eli's local committee, Kobi Eliraz, told Arutz Sheva that the community has been absorbing olim from France for the past several years.
"We've received this year 13 families from Paris, from Leon and Brussels," he said. "We are very pleased to welcome them and it is our obligation to respond to any Jew who wants to immigrate to Israel. For us it is also a social and community investment."
