Admor of Shomrei Emunim Released from Intensive Care

The condition of the rebbe of the Shomrei Emunim hassidic sect has improved to the extent that it was decided, on Friday, to release him from intensive care and put him in regular hospital care. The decision came more than two months after he collapsed during morning prayers at a study hall in Jerusalem.

Following a pair of mammoth resuscitation efforts by paramedics, the rabbi underwent catheterization at Bikur Cholim Hospital and additional surgery a month later. It is hoped that he will be released from the hospital soon.
