Former Lebanese Information Minister Arrested

Former Lebanese Information Minister Michel Samaha, considered close to the government of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, was arrested, Thursday, on suspicion of involvement in the transfer of weapons to northern Lebanon, following the discovery of a bombing plot.

Samaha was arrested at his home and detained for questioning. His attorney told Hizbullah-affiliated Al-Manar television that three or four telephones, a laptop computer and two or three movies.
