“Chemical weapons is something that scares everybody,” Jordan’s King Abdullah has said, speaking to the American news network CBS about violence in Syria. The biggest fear with Syria’s chemical weapons, he said, is that they could fall into rebel hands or be used against civilians.
When asked if he thinks Syrian President Bashar Assad might use chemical weapons to fight rebels, he said, “I hope to god that he wouldn’t.”
