Prices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose slightly in mixed trading at the beginning of Monday morning's session. About half an hour after the opening, the TA Composite Index stood at 981.60, up .13 percent, while the TA 100 rose .14 percent to 989.59, including a .06 advance by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues. The 50 stocks just outside the TA 100 stood at 361.88, up .88 percent.
The same percentage increase meant a posting of 396.09 for the communications and media index, which was followed by most of the technology issues, which advanced .32 percent to 357.46, while the biomed issues stood at 726.46, up .01 percent. The oil and natural gas stocks rounded out the gainers at 1,043.28, up .04 percent. The insurance index declined .14 percent to 723.70 as the financial institutions stood at 730.52, down .51 percent, including a three-quarters of a percent drop to 806.60 by the bank issues. The real estate stocks were off .18 percent at 249.38.
