Egypt’s High Constitutional Court (HCC) has issued a ruling suspending President Mohamed Morsi’s decree to reinstate the lower house of parliament, Egyptian daily Al-Ahram reports.

Morsi’s executive decision to recall the house was controversial. He was suspected of convening parliament prior to elections in order to take advantage of his current majority support.
