Middle East expert Mordechai Kedar announced, Monday morning, that he was joining the Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party). He also announced his support for Naftali Bennett as party chief and Ayelet Shaked as a candidate on the party's Knesset list.

Dr. Kedar said, "This is apparentlythe only partythat speaks to theyounger generation,toour nextgeneration,tothose who shouldkeepthe state's Jewishcharacter." He added, "The prominentpeople on the list: NaftaliBennett,AyeletShaked,are the peoplewho shouldrepresent usin the Knessetand the government-and between you and me-at the head of the government [in the prime minister's office -ed.]."
