The Finance Ministry announced, Sunday evening, that the tender for selling the port of Eilat was extended to August 15th. The ministry explained, "Onlyonebidderfiledtherequired documentsforbidding."
The ministry stressed the importance of competitiveness in the acquisition of state lands and said it would examine the tools needed to achieve the desired level of competitiveness between now and the August 15th deadline.
