Member of Knesset Robert Tivaiev (Kadima) demanded, Sunday, that party chairman Shaul Mofaz immediately leave what Tiviaiev called the "failing" coalition over the crisis surrounding the government's committee on equal burden of service, headed by Kadima Knesset member Yochanan Plesner. The Yisrael Beytenu and Bayit Yehudi parties have pulled out of the committee over its failure to penalize the Arab sector to perform national civilian service, a subject for a meeting between Mofaz and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Describing his meeting with Mofaz, MK Tiviaiev said, "I said to Shaul Mofazthat there's anotherchance to correctthe mistakeof enteringthe government, even at thepriceof notme and other members not entering the nextKnesset, butat leastthe ideaof Kadima may continue to exist in the future.NowI'm moreat peace with myselffor not havingsupported Kadima entering thecoalition."
