Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman is set to leave for Italy on Sunday. He will meet with top Italian government officials, as well as members of the Jewish community there. Lieberman will discuss a number of issues of interest to both countries, and prepare for a meeting between the heads of state of Israel and Italy, set for November.
Lieberman is expected to press for maintaining and increasing sanctions against Iran, stressing the danger of a nuclear Iran not just to Israel and the Middle East, but to Europe as well, officials in the Foreign Ministry said.
