Rabbi Zalman Melamed of Beit El criticized the Supreme Court, Tuesday morning, for the decision that led to the morning's eviction of 16 families from the Binyamin-region community's Ulpana neighborhood. After hailing the creation of a new neighborhood for the evictees, Rabbi Melamed continued, "This does not diminish the sadness [and] the aggravation from the High Court decision which is, in our eyes, a wicked decision, a defective decision, to destroy houses in which a lot of money has been invested, and in which people have lived for many years."
Returning to an encouraging tone, the rabbi said, "But we are full of faith that every judgement can become good. We don't pray that it just be cancelled. We pray that it will become good and we will still build many homes in the land of Israel."
