Chief of Staff Benny Gantz of the Israel Defense Forces toured, Tuesday morning, the area of Monday's fatal terror attack on Israel's border with Egypt. As work continued to prevent infiltrations of the border, he said that work was going well. Gantz continued, "Our operational problem is one type of problem. A more significant problem is what happens in the Sinai, the staging areas, a terror base which is continually evolving. We expect the Egyptians to exercise their sovereignty."
A number of workers under contract to the defense ministry told interviewers, Monday, following the attack, that they would leave the job, explaining they were not willing to risk their lives for work.
