The Health Ministry warned Monday of an outbreak of rabies in Kibbutz Shamir in the upper Galilee. A dog that has been roaming the area has shown signs of rabies, and the Ministry warned residents and visitors to be on the lookout for it.

The Ministry asked anyone who has been in contact with an unknown or unfamiliar dog in the area over the past several weeks to seek medical attention immediately.
