Ayalon: Only Intervention will Stop Syrian Slaughter

Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon estimated, Monday morning, that only active military intervention that harms the regime of President Bashar Al-Assad will change the balance of power in Syria, where the government is not moved by condemnations or declarations, such as the one issued, Sunday, by the United Nations Security Council against the massacre of at least 118 people and the wounding of 300 in the village of Houla over the weekend.

Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, Ayalon said the international condemnations do not advance the end of Al-Assad's slaughter of his citizens, which has been going on for months.
