Deputy Health Minister Ya'akov Litzman will call for the dismissal of Yehuda Hiss, head of the Israel Forensic Institute, reports said on Monday. Hiss has been accused of illicitly procuring tissues from dead individuals on whom the institute performs autopsies. Many members of the medical establishment have called for him to be fired over the accusations.
Litzman has already appointed a committee to evaluate Hiss' work and professional standing.
