World Chess Championship Reaches 'Midway Point' Friday

The sixth match of the 2012 World Chess Championship is scheduled for Friday afternoon in Moscow. Israeli challenger Boris Gelfand and defending champion Viswanathan Anand of India have drawn the five games played so far, each accumulating two and a half points.

In Thursday's fifth match, Anand offered a draw after 27 moves. If the series remains tied at the end of the remaining seven matches, a series of tie breaks will determine the winner.
