Mofaz: Kadima Opposed to Efforts to Legalize Ulpana

Kadima head Shaul Mofaz, now a minister in Binyamin Netanyahu's government, said that he opposed a law that would ensure that residents of Givat Ha'ulpana in Beit El could remain in their homes. “All the laws that MKs are planning which are designed to enable the government to avoid fulfilling the decisions of the High Court are against the philosophy and essence of Kadima, and we will object to them with all our might. We will ask that they be dismissed from consideration as legislation.”

Mofaz added that “we respect the rule of law, and we follow the rulings of the High Court.”
