Lag Ba'Omer Marked on Eitam Hill

Dozens of residents of Efrat, Gush Etzion, Kiryat Arba'-Hevron and Jerusalem ascended the Eitam Hill, Thursday afternoon to mark Lag Ba'Omer. Efrat council member Dovi Sheffler told those in attendance about the history of the hill from the time of King Solomon, in anticipation of the archaeological discoveries that will be made, ahead of construction of a 2,200 unit neighborhood on the hill that will make Efrat a city and the capital of the Gush Etzion bloc of Judean Jewish communities.

The event was organized by the Committee for Developing Eitam and by the Women in Green for Israel's Tomorrow, with help from the Efrat local council. The public is invited to contact these organizations regarding activities that take place at the site every Friday.
