Histadrut: Biological Research Institute Labor Dispute

The Histadrut Labor Federation declared a work dispute, Monday, at the Israel Institute for Biological Research in Nes Tziona, south of Tel Aviv. The union claimed management was damaging labor relations and not upholding agreements or laws.

The Histadrut charged management with intentionally deadlocking negotiations on wages. The workers' committee claimed that management was unilaterally transferring employees from job to job, reducing their authority as it sees fit, and not allowing training or promotion.
