Shekel Stronger, Dollars Mixed

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .347 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.778, down .211 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro declined .317 percent to 4.9613 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.1128, down .248 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell a quarter of a percent to 4.7013. The Canadian dollar was the only currency to rise, gaining .106 percent to NIS 3.8428, while the Australian dollar slumped .568 percent to 3.8893 shekels
