Member of Knesset Talab As-Sana (Ra'am Ta'al United Arab List) criticized, Sunday, a government initiative to require national civilian service for the country's Arabs, who are exempt from serving in the military. As-Sana accused the government of advancing the largest number ever of racist bills.
He continued, "We have noconfidence in the governmentandits policies. The initiativeis driven by improperconsiderations.We are opposedto the initiativeand thescheme,andit's destined to suffer a complete failure.Any attemptto forcethisissuethrough legislation will lead to civilrebellion,andwe will callon Arab citizensnot to honor this law."
