Members of the Likud Central Committee who live in Judea and Samaria praised the government, Friday, for submitting its request to the Supreme Court to defer the uprooting of the Ulpana (religious girls' high school) neighborhood in the Binyamin-region Jewish community of Beit El, scheduled for next week. The committee members said, "The government caught itself at the last moment and prevented unnecessary political suicide."

A statement issued by the committee members continued, "The time has come fora proper comprehensivesolutionto all  constructionproblemsin Judea and Samaria and notto act like firefighters[, "fighting fires as they come up"-ed.].Since it is already clear to everyonethatsooner or later, the governmentwill eventually extend Israelisovereignty overJudea and Samaria,whywait?We call onthe government totake the initiative andpreparea government billto initiateIsraeli sovereigntyin Judea and Samaria."
