MK Plesner Against Delay in Ulpana Neighborhood Action

Member of Knesset Yochanan Plesner (Kadima) condemned, Friday, the state's request of the Supreme Court to postpone the uprooting in the Ulpana (religious girls' high school) neighborhood of the Binyamin-region Jewish community of Beit El, currently scheduled for May 1st. Plesner issued a statement which read, "[Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu is again trying to delay the end at the last moment, because he cannot withstand the pressure of tens of thousands of right-wing Likud party members."

Referring to the Likud's Manhigut Yehudit (Jewish Leadership) faction, led by Moshe Feiglin, the statement continued, "The Feiglinites continue to dictate the Likud agenda within the cracking authority of the rule of law. In its 65th year of independence, Israel is a worthy of leadership that respects the law. Kadima will torpedo all attempts in the next [Knesset session] to circumvent the court."
