Im Tirtzu Protests Against College Terror Supporters


A Jewish student movement called Im Tirtzu protested in favor of Israel and against an Arab campus group at Hebrew University on Tuesday. A group of Arab students at Hebrew University in Jerusalem protested in support administrative prisoners. Police and Border Guard forces arrived at the scene. Members of the "Im Tirtzu" and other students showed up to counter protest and show solidarity with Israel. Im Tirzu members told media that it is "shameful and demeaning to the memory of fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism."

The Arab students were supporting prisoners who are suspected of terrorist related activity or nationalistically motivated offenses.

Im Tirtzu takes is name from Theodor Herzl's famous phrase., "If you will it, then it is no dream." According to their website it is "an extra-parliamentary movement that works to strengthen and advance the values of Zionism in Israel."
