Member of Knesset Zevulun Orlev told the Fifth Ramle Conference on the Problem of Foreign Workers, Sunday, "The lack of an immigration policy, which has led to more than 600,000 people staying in Israel illegally, is absolute lawlessness and a severe government breakdown, which constitutes a strategic blow which threatens the state of Israel's Jewish character."
In calling for the allocation of resources to enforce laws and close loopholes against illegal entry from Egypt, the Palestinian Authority and the Far East, he stressed, "The government of Israel mustunderstandthat the price ofcomplacencyisthe imminent dangerofassimilationofyoung people and a threat to theJewish majorityin Israel.We must save theland of Israelto absorbmillions ofJews and not illegal infiltrators."
