A Palestinian Authority lecturer has been arrested by PA police for insulting Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on her Facebook page, the Associated Press reported Monday. The lecturer was identified as 37-year-old Ismat Abdul-Khaleq.

Khaleq allegedly termed Abbas a traitor and called for him to resign.

The PA arrested multiple reporters last week for alleged defamation. One remains in custody.
