Exile in Gaza Behind End to Shalbi Hunger Strike

Hana Shalbi, the 30-year-old Islamic Jihad terrorist from the Samarian Palestinian Authority village of Burkin who was arrested for returning to terror activity following her release in the Gilad Shalit deal, ended a 43-day hunger strike, Thursday evening, after reaching agreement with the Israeli security establishment that she be banished to Gaza for three years. At the end of the three years, she will be allowed to return to Samaria.

Shalbi was arrested in February, based on intelligence that she posed a security risk by virtue of a terror operation that she was involved in, and was put on administrative detention after it was determined that there was not enough evidence to put her on trial, at which point, she started the hunger strike.
