Prices were slightly lower on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange a few minutes into the first day of international broker trading, Monday. The TA Composite index stood at 1,007.22, up .05 percent, while the same percentage increase meant an opening posting of 1,020.35 for the TA 100, including a .18 percent rise to 1,111.85 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Most of the technology stocks rose an average of .21 percent to 317.06, while the biomed index slipped .05 percent to 716.70. The real estate issues stood at 282.56, up a fifth of one percent. The oil and natural gas stocks declined .06 percent to 1,215.23, while the communications/media index opened at 652.70, down .37 percent. With the insurance issues falling .47 percent to 976.78, the financial institutions stood at 898.54, down .55 percent, while the bank stocks declined .56 percent to 990.68.
