Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz welcomed the decision by the Swift financial clearing house, Thursday, to cut off Iranian banks.
The Treasurer said, "A modern economycannot functionwithoutinternationalclearance, as well as an increasingly tightfinancialsiege." He added that "theIsraeli government,and the Ministryof Financein particular,will continue topromoteworldwideeconomicsanctions andmeasurestohinder thecommercialand financialactivitiesofIran."
