Zelicha: Irrelevant Factors in Electricity Pricing

Professor Yaron Zelicha attacked the Finance Ministry, Thursday, for the pricing policity of the budget branch in the determining of electicity prices. During a talk entitled, "The real price of clean and polluting electricity" at the Portal conference on solar electricity infrastructures in Tel Aviv, the former accountant-general said, "The budget division has a conflict of interest on determining the costs of electricity production from renewable energy." He added, "The people of the budget division in the Treasury are good people who are giving their best effort - not successfully - but they're trying. 

Zelicha said, "They are not objective and mixing in factors that are not necessarily good for the people of Israel," and concluded," The public edoes not understand that cheap electricity costs it in health."
